Heated Area is the square footage of heated floor space only and does not include Garage, Decks or Basements.

Roof design (truss or rafter)
main pitch is the slope as viewed from the side of the house and the front pitch is the roof slopes as viewed from the front.

Floor system indicates either joist (2 x 10, etc.),
Truss (usually 18" deep webbed 2 x 4) or
TJI (pre-mfg wood "I" beams)

Walls indicate plate heights (top of the walls from finished floor)
L= linear foot measurement around outside of insulated walls.

Ceilings indicate the height of ceilings or vaults.
Vaulted ceilings slope up from one or two sides including cathedrals.

Basement square footage is figured from inside of the concrete walls.
View-out is a basement wall that is half out of the ground, full basements include Daylight window wells to provide natural light and fire escapes.
"optional finish" indicates how the basement is pre-planned for finishing.

Masonry gives the actual area of brick/stone used.

Kitchen information is for cabinets only, the aprox size is measured from the back of cabinets.
L= linear footage of cabinets as measured accross the "front" edge.
Base cabs include the range but not the fridge, pantry dimension is for width only.

Misc info gives the type of windows (usually casements) but not limited to what is shown on the plans.
Fireplace's may indicate "gas-log" but the size is the same as a wood burner so changing from one to the other is as simple as adding a chimney or taking one off.

Printing info

Having troubles getting "Contractor's Corner" to print out on plan pages?
Your Browser settings are probably cutting it off with excessive edge margin,
try this...
click >"File"
click  >"page setup"

Notice the left and right margins, if they show 0.50" or 0.75" then that's the problem, change these settings to 0.25" and click "OK"
This will also fix similar printing problems you may have experienced on other sites.
